Brief recommendations about when and how to clean the lenses.

It is not convenient to clean the optical unless the image is suffering an important degradation. The farther from the eye (or camera ) the surface is, the more dirt it can bear without affecting the result.

Some general advice, although it is very convenient to consult the manufacturer directions.

• First take off the dust and foreing bodies with a blower brush.
• Use a special tissue, lint-free, wet with a special cleaning product.
• Work from the inside to the outside, with circular movements, slowly allowing the product to get dry.
• Change the tissue (or the zone of the tissue) frequently, in order to avoid extending the pollution.

The use of canned air is specially dangerous, as it comes out very cold it can condense making the things worse. Mostly to the fluorite which doesn’t enjoy brisk lower temperatures and could crack.
