01/03/2010 - New advances with the Seletek controller and we open our workshop

Hi all,

here we are again to share some news with you.

We have recently launched a new version of our Seletek controller: the Armadillo. Why this name? Well, we've basically armoured the previous version, to make it more failproof, after having a few units “burned” by some very devote torturers, er... I mean testers.

.

The Armadillo has a new USB connection, good enough to operate with long, thin cables, also a mini-USB connector for firmware upgrades, a better temperature sensor and more electronics isolation to make it really tough.

We've also launched a new utility program, as requested by a canadian customer, allowing the user easy control of any pin of the controller, manual or automated (depending on temperature delta), useful not only for fan control but also for dew heater bands.

We have also started a new section Seletek to show the different ways our customers are using the Seletek controller. We'll be pleased to include there any images, suggestions, ideas, anything you could share to make it more informative.

And we just have, at last, launched the production of our observatory-automation accesory. We haven't chosen its name yet, so suggestions welcome.

Changing the subject, now that we are at bigger premises, we're offering a custom parts service: adaptors, extension tubes, …

cris-esc.jpgIn summary, we can manufacture that impossible to find part.

For the moment we can machine any cyilindrical part up to 80mm in diameter (3”+), with internal and external, metric / imperial / UN, threads; also aluminum plates, any thickness, up to 30x15 cm in lenght (12”x6”).

We have sample parts and matching threads for most astronomy parts, and work with aluminum and black acetal; and of course we know the business.

We'll be adding more machines and more capabilities in the coming months.

See you later.
